While Shopify’s default settings are great, there are a few things you can add and change to get the most out of your cool new store!

Let’s discuss it step by step. First, click the Settings button in the lower left corner of the control panel.

Payment Provider Settings

In your payment provider’s settings, click on the Full Account Settings button to configure your payment gateway so that customers can use credit cards to make purchases.

Fill in everything on this page. Enter “Dealer [your product category here]” for the product detail field. For example “Matcha Tea Merchant” or “Health Product Merchant” if you prefer extensions.

Then a Statement Descriptor is what your customers will see in their statement. Make this your business or company name.

Enter the remaining information and click Finish Account Settings.

PayPal must be set up automatically by Shopify. If not, set it up now. You can add other payment providers later, eg. B. Apple Pay, which you don’t need right now.
